  4. Create a strong password
  5. Complete the verification process (check your email or phone for a code)
  6. Add a profile photo and cover image to personalize your profile

Tip: Your username is how others will find and mention you on the platform. Choose something memorable!

Your First Steps

Once you've created your account, here's what to do next:

  • Complete your profile: Add a bio, your fitness interests, and location to help others find you
  • Find friends: Use the search feature to find people you know or explore recommended users
  • Follow fitness enthusiasts: Start following people who share your fitness goals
  • Make your first post: Share a workout check-in or introduce yourself to the community
  • Explore content: Browse the home feed to see what others are sharing

Understanding the Navigation

The main navigation bar helps you access all features:

  • Home: Your main feed with posts from people you follow
  • Explore: Discover new posts and people based on your interests
  • Stories: View and create temporary content that disappears after 24 hours
  • Chat: Access your direct messages and group conversations
  • Marketplace: Browse and shop for fitness products
  • Jobs: Find or post fitness-related job opportunities
  • Your Profile: View and edit your profile, see your posts, and manage settings

2. Posts & Stories

Creating a Post

Sharing your fitness journey is at the heart of Gymfit.me. Here's how to create a post:

  1. Click the "Create Post" button (usually at the top of your feed or in the navigation)
  2. Type your message or workout update in the text box
  3. Add photos or videos by clicking the media button
  4. Tag your location or add workout details if you want
  5. Choose who can see your post (public, followers only, or specific people)
  6. Click "Post" to share with the community

What you can include in posts:

  • Photos: Share progress pictures, gym selfies, or workout photos
  • Videos: Upload workout videos, form checks, or training highlights
  • Polls: Ask your followers questions (e.g., "Which workout should I do today?")
  • Links: Share articles, workout plans, or nutrition resources
  • Quotes: Share and comment on other people's posts

Creating Polls

Want to get your community's opinion? Create a poll:

  1. Start creating a post
  2. Click the "Poll" option
  3. Type your question
  4. Add 2-4 answer options
  5. Set how long the poll should run (1 day, 3 days, or 7 days)
  6. Post it and watch the votes come in!

Sharing Stories

Stories are temporary posts that disappear after 24 hours. They're perfect for quick updates:

  1. Click the "Create Story" button (usually in the stories section at the top of your feed)
  2. Take a photo or video, or choose one from your gallery
  3. Add text, stickers, or drawings if you want
  4. Click "Share" to post your story

Note: Stories are visible to all your followers and disappear after 24 hours. You can see who viewed your story by tapping on it.

Interacting with Posts

Engage with the community by interacting with posts:

  • Like: Tap the heart icon to show appreciation
  • Comment: Share your thoughts or ask questions
  • Share: Repost content to your own feed
  • Quote: Share a post with your own comment added
  • Bookmark: Save posts to read later (access them in your bookmarks section)

3. Chat & Messaging

Sending a Direct Message

Connect privately with other members through direct messages:

  1. Go to the Chat section in your navigation
  2. Click "New Message" or search for a user's name
  3. Select the person you want to message
  4. Type your message in the text box
  5. Press Enter or click Send

Tip: You can send text, photos, videos, and links in messages. Just click the attachment icon to add media.

Creating Group Chats

Want to chat with multiple people at once? Create a group chat:

  1. Open the Chat section
  2. Click "New Group" or the group icon
  3. Give your group a name (e.g., "Gym Squad" or "Running Club")
  4. Add members by searching for their usernames
  5. Click "Create" to start the group chat

Note: Group chats are great for coordinating workouts, sharing tips, or just staying connected with your fitness community.

Managing Your Chats

Keep your messages organized:

  • Archive chats: Hide chats you don't need right now (you can unarchive them later)
  • Delete chats: Remove conversations you no longer need
  • Mute notifications: Turn off notifications for specific chats if they're too active
  • Search messages: Use the search bar to find specific conversations or messages

4. Connecting with Others

Following Users

Follow people whose content you enjoy or who share your fitness interests:

  1. Visit someone's profile by clicking on their name or photo
  2. Click the "Follow" button on their profile
  3. If they have a private account, you'll send a follow request (they'll need to approve it)
  4. Once approved, their posts will appear in your home feed

Tip: You can unfollow someone at any time by clicking "Following" on their profile.

Finding Workout Partners

One of the best features of Gymfit.me is finding gym buddies:

  • Use the Explore section to discover people in your area
  • Search for users by location, fitness interests, or training style
  • Check out profiles to see their workout preferences and goals
  • Send a friendly message to introduce yourself
  • Join group chats or create your own to connect with multiple people

Exploring Content

Discover new content and people:

  • Explore Page: Browse trending posts and discover new fitness enthusiasts
  • Search: Use the search bar to find specific users, posts, or topics
  • Hashtags: Click on hashtags in posts to see related content
  • Recommendations: Check out suggested users based on your interests and activity

5. Marketplace

Browsing Products

Shop for fitness gear, supplements, and more in our marketplace:

  1. Go to the Marketplace section in your navigation
  2. Browse products by category (equipment, supplements, apparel, etc.)
  3. Use filters to narrow down by price, location, or seller
  4. Click on a product to see details, photos, and seller information
  5. Read reviews from other buyers if available

Selling Products

Have fitness gear to sell? List it on the marketplace:

  1. Go to Marketplace and click "Sell Product" or "Create Listing"
  2. Add clear photos of your item (multiple angles work best)
  3. Write a detailed description including condition, size, brand, etc.
  4. Set your price
  5. Choose a category and add relevant tags
  6. Set your location for local buyers
  7. Publish your listing

Tip: Good photos and honest descriptions help your items sell faster!

Making a Purchase

Buying is simple and secure:

  1. Find a product you want to buy
  2. Click "Contact Seller" or "Buy Now" (depending on the listing)
  3. Message the seller to arrange details (shipping, payment, pickup, etc.)
  4. Complete the transaction through the platform's payment system or in person
  5. Leave a review after your purchase to help other buyers

6. Jobs

Finding Job Opportunities

Looking for a fitness-related job? Here's how to find opportunities:

  1. Go to the Jobs section in your navigation
  2. Browse available positions (trainer, gym staff, nutritionist, etc.)
  3. Use filters to search by location, job type, or salary range
  4. Click on a job listing to see full details and requirements
  5. Read about the employer and check their profile
  6. Click "Apply" if you're interested

Posting a Job Listing

Are you a gym owner or fitness business looking to hire? Post a job:

  1. Go to Jobs and click "Post a Job"
  2. Fill in the job details (title, description, requirements, location)
  3. Specify the job type (full-time, part-time, contract, etc.)
  4. Set the salary or compensation range
  5. Add any application instructions
  6. Publish your listing

Note: Business accounts may have additional features for job postings.

Saving Jobs

Found a job you're interested in but not ready to apply yet? Save it:

  • Click the bookmark icon on any job listing
  • Access all your saved jobs in the "Saved Jobs" section
  • Remove jobs from your saved list when you're done with them

7. Wallet & Payments

Understanding Your Wallet

Your wallet is your digital payment system on Gymfit.me. You can use it to:

  • Make purchases in the marketplace
  • Send tips to content creators
  • Pay for premium features or subscriptions
  • Receive payments from sales or services

Adding Money to Your Wallet

To add funds to your wallet:

  1. Go to your Wallet section
  2. Click "Add Funds" or "Deposit"
  3. Enter the amount you want to add
  4. Choose your payment method (credit card, debit card, etc.)
  5. Complete the secure payment process
  6. Your funds will be available immediately

Making Payments

Paying for items or services is easy:

  1. When making a purchase, select "Pay with Wallet" at checkout
  2. Confirm the amount and recipient
  3. Enter your security PIN if required
  4. Complete the transaction

Security: All transactions are secure and encrypted. Never share your wallet PIN with anyone.

Viewing Transaction History

Keep track of your spending and earnings:

  • Go to your Wallet section
  • Click "Transaction History"
  • View all your deposits, withdrawals, purchases, and payments
  • Filter by date, type, or amount
  • Download statements if needed

8. Profile & Settings

Customizing Your Profile

Notification Settings

Control how and when you're notified:

  • Turn notifications on or off for likes, comments, and follows
  • Choose to receive email notifications for important updates
  • Set quiet hours when you don't want to be disturbed
  • Control chat message notifications
  • Manage marketplace and job-related notifications

9. Privacy & Safety

Privacy Settings

Control who can see your content and interact with you:

  • Private Account: Make your account private so only approved followers can see your posts
  • Who Can Follow: Choose if anyone can follow you or if you need to approve requests
  • Who Can Message: Control who can send you direct messages
  • Profile Visibility: Decide who can see your profile information
  • Activity Status: Show or hide when you're online

Blocking Users

If someone is bothering you or making you uncomfortable:

  1. Go to their profile
  2. Click the three dots menu (⋯) or settings icon
  3. Select "Block User"
  4. Confirm that you want to block them

What happens when you block someone: They won't be able to see your posts, message you, or find your profile. You also won't see their content.

Reporting Content

See something that violates our community guidelines? Report it:

  1. Click the three dots menu (⋯) on the post, comment, or profile
  2. Select "Report"
  3. Choose the reason for reporting (spam, harassment, inappropriate content, etc.)
  4. Add any additional details if needed
  5. Submit your report

Note: Reports are reviewed by our moderation team. We take all reports seriously and will take appropriate action.

Staying Safe Online

Keep yourself safe while using Gymfit.me:

  • Never share your password with anyone
  • Be cautious when meeting people in person (meet in public places, tell someone where you're going)
  • Don't share personal financial information through messages
  • Report suspicious behavior or scams immediately
  • Use strong, unique passwords
  • Enable two-factor authentication if available for extra security

10. Troubleshooting

Common Issues & Solutions

I can't log in to my account

  • Double-check that you're using the correct email/username and password
  • Try resetting your password using the "Forgot Password" link
  • Make sure your account hasn't been suspended (check your email for notifications)
  • Clear your browser cache and cookies, then try again

My posts aren't uploading

  • Check your internet connection
  • Make sure your photos/videos aren't too large (try compressing them)
  • Wait a few minutes and try again (the server might be busy)
  • Try uploading from a different device or browser

I'm not receiving notifications

  • Check your notification settings in your account settings
  • Make sure notifications are enabled in your device/browser settings
  • Check if you've accidentally muted specific users or chats
  • Verify your email address is correct and check your spam folder

I can't find someone's profile

  • Make sure you're spelling their username correctly
  • They might have a private account and you need to follow them first
  • They may have blocked you
  • Their account might have been deactivated or deleted

Payment or wallet issues

  • Check that your payment method is valid and has sufficient funds
  • Verify your wallet balance before making purchases
  • Contact support if a transaction didn't complete but you were charged
  • Check your transaction history to see if the payment went through
